Comments: I just discovered this webcam. I am trying to picture exactly where it is located. We spend a lot of time at our summer place on Long Lake and probably drive by this spot all the time.

Comments: Just found this web site and all the other web cams affiliated with this site. I found it for I was checking on bird feeder web cams. We haven't been getting the birds at our feeders and wanted to check if others were having the same problem. I found the answer and it is yes. But they will be back.
Admin reply: Actually, the large feeder was just filled earlier this week. The birds come but then leave again rather quickly, on and off all day. The camera is set to take a photo every 5 minutes so if the birds happen to be gone at the moment of capture it appears as though none are coming to the feeders

Comments: Webcam looks great and is a big help in determining road conditions. One more thing that would be a big help to me is a snow stick so I can see how much snow you have.
Admin reply: Rusty, thanks for the feedback. I've considered a snow stick several times. The problem is I don't know where I could put it so that it would be within the field of view of either camera and still be easily read by a viewer. If I figure that out I'll add one. BTW, right now we have about 6 inches on the ground.
Also, I just swapped out the main camera (Cam 1) because of the sun streaks that were on the sensor of the older C3040. I'm now using an Olympus C4000 as Cam 1.

Comments: Just wanted to let you know how helpful this website is to me. We have a home in Long Lake and travel frequently from Dutchess County. Before I leave I check your site to see what road conditions look like. It's also fun just to see what the weather is doing in that neck of the woods. Thanks for making it available.
